  • JeffcoCARES (#JeffcoCares) is a Business Community Pledge to help Jefferson County stay SAFE & HEALTHY.

    This commitment is for business owners, employees, and visitors to keep the focus on community wellness as we all work TOGETHER to strengthen our economy and celebrate our resiliency.

    We know how fortunate we are to live in Jefferson County. We also know what it takes to care for our families, friends, and neighbors. We have been diligent about keeping ourselves healthy and taking the necessary steps to ensure public health throughout our communities. We have made a commitment to Stay Home and Stay Healthy for ourselves and for each other.

    We celebrate the efforts of Jefferson County residents, businesses, and governments to make us one of the most resilient counties in Washington. We salute our healthcare professionals, public servants, and essential workers who have become hometown heroes for us all. Now more of us need to get back to work to support our families.

    As Businesses We Pledge:

    • To demonstrate to our staff and community that we care about them and their families.
    • To commit to the most up-to-date training and protocols that ensure safe and healthy “best practices” for business.
    • To wear masks, maintain social distancing, and provide sanitary facility conditions that meet or exceed those suggested by the Washington State and Jefferson County Departments of Health.
    • To treat all customers and clients with respect in each Phase of economic recovery.

    As Customers, Clients, Shoppers, Residents, & Visitors We Pledge:

    • To educate ourselves about “best practices” for a safe and healthy economic recovery – posted along with this pledge in all participating businesses.
    • To respect businesses, workers, and community guidelines for health and wellness.
